Double bass

I spent the day working from home, occasionally getting up to make a coffee and to have wander 'round the house, planning: now that Milly's gone back to Lincoln, I want to turn the downstairs spare room into a music room for Dan, thereby freeing up a lot of space in the room upstairs that I use for music and doing my yoga and weights. It has been ridiculously crowded this last few months.

So, this evening, I cleared out the spare room, hoovered, and then brought Dan's stuff down: a couple of amps, a guitar, and a double bass, the last of which I had too be very careful with coming down stairs; it's huge! (There's more equipment in Dan's bedroom but I'm going to ask him to move that.)

Finally, I spent some time considering how I might get the digital piano downstairs and had just accepted that the sensible thing to do was to wait until there was someone else there to help me when Dan arrived unexpectedly after an early finish at Westmorland Youth Orchestra.

Thus I the spare pair of hands that I needed and a bit of company!
