Life In Wales

Needs must!

We arrived in Canterbury after a 4 hour drive in the snow. It was fine in the north west, but by the time we got to Birmingham the snow was getting heavier. Once we got into Kent we were down to one lane on the motorway and vision was really bad.

But once we arrived in Canterbury, it was worth it - we're staying at the Cathedral Lodge which is owned by Canterbury Cathedral, and our room has a view towards the Cathedral.

It was still snowing and we had a wander around the town and then went for a drink at a Belgian Brasserie! We had a table in the window and were able to people watch - this blip is of a couple sat outside the restaurant opposite. They came outside to have a smoke, but it was snowing and freezing cold, so they were wrapped in blankets - needs must!

I took this photo with Alan's camera as it takes much better black & white shots than mine, and I love how you can see the shadows inside the restaurant, the happy couple outside and the falling snow.

Anyway, it's time to go and get something to eat, so I wish you all a happy evening and I'll catch up when I can x
