Canterbury Tales

We've had a lovely day in Canterbury today, and there was still lots of snow around, although in the town centre it had gone.

As we stayed in the Cathedral Lodge we got to visit the Cathedral free of charge, so we went this morning after a lovely full English breakfast! It's an amazing place, and whilst we were there I lit two candles, one in memory of Dad, and one for baby Scarlett.

We actually visited the Cloisters of the Cathedral last night on our way back to the Lodge. After 9pm you have to call the Security guard who lets you into the grounds, and we went to take some night shots as it looked lovely in the snow. We found the entrance to the Cloisters, so we went to have a look - I'm not sure if we should have been in there at that time, but it was lovely as we were the only ones around, and we got some great photos.

After visiting the Cathedral we did a bit of shopping and some more sightseeing, before heading to the Eurotunnel for our train back to Calais. I took a few photos with my iPhone so that I didn't have to wait until we were back home to blip, and I chose this street scene with the Cathedral in the distance.

This is probably my first 'blip on the move', Alan is driving while i'm blipping. We've just passed Bruges, and the motorway is fine, there are no problems with the snow, and there is relatively little traffic. We should be home in a couple of hours and are looking forward to picking up little Louis from our friend's.
