A Perfect Day
We had a lovely fine day today, not a cloud in the sky. It's 6.32pm and 28.3 degrees C - we have our summer back.
Last evening, our Contractor arrived to cut a couple of our paddocks for balage. Late this morning, when the sun had come out and the dew had dried on the ground, another Contractor came and baled the grass. This is him, having just released a wrapped bale, while another, having already been wrapped in netting, was about to be wrapped in plastic. What a fantastic machine his McHale Fusion II is! We have spend some of the afternoon putting some of our wrapped balage away - I drove our truck, while Farmerboy loaded it. The boys - well they just supervised.
The forecast says that we are going to have a bit of rain on Thursday, and after that we are meant to have another spell of fine weather. If that happens, we will be aiming to get our hay cut, baled and in the shed. Fingers crossed.
