Milkshakes

We've got a new cafe opened at the Beachlands Charter Club, and it is fantastic! We had our lunch there today, as a bit of a treat for having survived being at home for the past few days with the Eldest not feeling very well. They're doing some lunch specials which are just divine, but the highlight of it was the milkshakes. Made using real fruit and cooked and reduced in a very special way to get a more intense flavour. The colour of them is unreal, they're a proper taste sensation. Kudos to Beachlands Cafe!

We went for a bit of a drive and to a playground, but it is pretty warm and everyone just wanted to either be in the water, or in the shade. With the Eldest in recovery mode, I'm not game to put her in the water today, much to her disgust at me. But...the Youngest and I are going to head off for a swim after the Husband gets home tonight. Can't wait.

In other news, one of my dearest friends has joined Blipfoto in the last 24 hours. He regularly sends emails with the craziest things that he has seen photographed in them, and I've been on at him to join up. Mal and I met on our first day at Intermediate School, when we were 11 (I was almost 11...he's an older fart than me), and we completed our school years together. Mal and the Husband have been mates since Primary School. He now lives in China with his talented wife...both of them are musical. Please pop over and visit him, and give him a warm Blip welcome. I'm super stoked that Blipfoto made it past what Mal calls the Great Fire Wall of China.
