New school / back to school

Big day! New school for the eldest and full, longer day at the new nursery for the youngest (and sadness from their parents for the long days these poor boys do).

The eldest was SO excited about school - and had a brilliant day. He seems delighted about how numbers and letters are done and has a buddy in the year above him who also does his after school club. I cannot get over how well he has adapted to his new life and he really seems to have grown up over the last week. Very proud.

Youngest did really well today. I could see the exhaustion etched on his face when I collected him. Just about managed to get him to eat some food (his favourite, although he proclaimed it was disgusting), bathed him through floods of tears before he fell asleep in my arms, wrapped in his bath towel. I felt that cuddling him to sleep was the least I could do after his day, and it was lovely.
