Breakfast spot
This is where I stop for my breakfast each day so you can see one of the reasons why I have kind of fallen in love with this place. I have extended my stay until the end of the month, mainly on account of the perfect climate but also, of course, the ice creams flavours still to be tried. It is the perfect place to fall in love with the sun again, just need to find a way of harnessing that delightful sea breeze and somehow take it with me to Southern California.
Today was the day of logging on to the first webinar session of advice for all the mad people who will attempt the PCT this year. Didn’t do much for my confidence to be honest, lots of stuff about the dangers of snow, fire, river crossings and the importance of having a paper map and compass...... and knowing how to use them. Hopefully YouTube to the rescue on that front and time to try and book some courses in San Diego I think.
Plum sorbet with vanilla ice cream today, both delicious but not the right combination, the ice cream overpowered the sorbet a bit. There is a great wee cheese shop in Barcelona where I once tried a goats cheese ice cream. I reckon that would be a good combination with the plum sorbet if I could just work out the flights.
