Life, not as we see it.

Too much monkey business. (Corny, innit)

These guys suddenly appeared this morning from the roof above our balcony.    First the little one, then the duo, closely followed by a whole family of them.  Cute at first but then a bit scary when they just kept coming.

Got to go now but will add later, I hope.

Later:-
The main, in fact only visit planned for today was to a Keshava temple some 35 km out of Mysuru.
It is to Vishnu, the protector god who, we now know has 10 incarnations and one thousand names, so he does tend to pop up without being noticed, we are told.
This temple has been desecrated repeatedly so is now no longer a holy place, but only a museum.
I now can't remember what it's name, Somanathapur, means, but it is interesting to see in the flesh, being 750 years old.
The whole structure is of soapstone which is relatively soft when mined from underground and slowly hardens on exposure to the atmosphere. The workmanship and accuracy are uncanny.

City tour tomorrow and overnight train north to Hospete / Hampi so don't know when next posting here.
