A place in time

Precautions

Mr A is officially full of cold now.  It probably didn't help that he was stuck in traffic (an accident that closed all three lanes of the motorway) for well over two hours this morning trying to make an appointment for 11am.  As it turned out, he had to telephone ahead and abandon the appointment...but on the plus side, he was able to stay warm and dry in his car whilst the rain and wind lashed against the vehicle.

So, he's now sitting in bed reading which conveniently keeps him and his germs away from me.  Am I overreacting?  Well, no-one wants to welcome a heavy cold with open arms, now do they?  And I'm always mindful of having a 93-year old mother, and I certainly don't want to pass on any illnesses to her.

I've taken up a small cup of coffee (in one of his grandmother's cups ) with a gluten-free madeleine for him...and have just whipped round all the door handles/keyboards/light switches & loo handles with a home-made-anti-germ-precaution (cotton cloth soaked in a 50/50 surgical spirit/water solution).  This pic shows the second unused pre-soaked cloth ready for action!

Thought for the day:

"In a society that has you counting money, pounds, calories and steps...be a rebel and count your blessings instead."  (Lisa Heckman)
