Demitasse

These demitasse cups belonged to my mum (the wildflowers on the left) and my paternal grandmother (the coral and the even smaller flowers in the middle). Mum's must date from the 1950s and Granny's from the 1920s. In all the time I've had them they've never been used. I mean if you want a cup of coffee you have something a bit larger to hold it. I suppose they're made for an espresso or a Turkish coffee but honestly I never drink such strong stuff. That would be a week's worth of caffeine for me! They're pretty though and nice to have.

It's an emergency blip. I can't say I'm feeling 100% today and the weather is horrible so I'm keeping my own counsel in the house.
