Sights from my Bike Ride
It was overcast and cold this morning. By noon it was up to 42 F so I decided I would go at 1:00, hoping it would gain a few degrees by then. Happily, the sun came out and burned off the clouds. By the time I left it was starting to get nicer and it eventually warmed up, so it was a pleasant ride. I told PD that I probably wouldn't go far but it ended up being 27 miles. I get carried away. ;-)
Lots of sights today so I had to make two collages. I actually had a few more I could have added. My middle one on the main blip is a huge Great Dane, but not as huge as he looks with the forced perspective. ;-) The bottom right isn't the best shot but I'm pretty sure it's a Golden Eagle. It made the hawk that was flying nearby look small. In my extra, the top middle shot was interesting. Remember, it wasn't warm out. As I was riding down the path, I saw this man standing on a rock taking off his clothes. He stripped down to his underwear, as you can see, and then jumped into the water which must have been frigid. He stayed in for a few minutes and then got out and started doing Tai Chi (?). By this time I had stopped to watch and photograph. I got lots of good shots. In the middle and on the corners of the collage are sculptures in Niwot, a small town that I rode through. The small images really don't do them justice.
I am grateful that we are still able to be outside and going for a ride made it seem more like a normal day. While I was out, Piper and her dad went on a long walk and they agree. :-)
I have added the tag KUS, suggested by Sue Middleton, "I’m suggesting a tag of #KUS if you’ve got a picture or an idea to keep us all going."
