Prayers Answered

With this weeks Wide Wednesday (hosted by Steveng) having the theme 'historical' I had the idea to go to Llandaff Cathedral, my old school church, to take a photo' and say a prayer!

There's been a church on the site since Celtic times (and contains 6th century tombs) but the present building dates from 12th cetury!

The last couple of days have been really stressful as we sold our house and were in competition with another couple to buy a new-build property in England since early yesterday morning. Whilst at the church this afternoon my phone rang to say the house builder was accepting our offer! Prayers answered.

The extra shows the amazing Christ The Redeemer statue by Sir Jacob Epstein (1954) which I used to gawp at during school services.
