WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Lovely Surprise

I told Sabrina I didn't want anything for Mother's Day as she has enough to do without having to look for a present and then posting it. She said - OK I'll treat you when this is all over.
What a lovely surprise this morning when the postie popped this through the letterbox! Photos from the last 5 years of me and Amelia and little Lucy :-) Note my varying hair colours!
(It's a Moonpig card)

The fencers got here earlier than yesterday and are getting on nicely out there.

So now all the pubs and eateries are closed I wonder when the shopping centers, charity shops and other non essential shops will close. It would be difficult to keep a social distance in some of them.

We've spoken to the kids over the phone and one of our grandaughters - Isla aged 8 has been upset by her school closing. She will miss seeing her friends and her usual routine. She loves school. :-( Her little brother Arón thinks it's brilliant not having to go.

Amelia and Lucy seem to be OK (apart from the ice skating) because they do girlie things all day like playing house, dolls or shop.

Poppy and Arlo are always good at entertaining themselves - Poppy is creative and Arlo likes computer games.

I told my daughter not to stress about all this home schooling malarkey. If they want to do it fine but kids learn such a lot through play and doing puzzles, baking/cooking etc.The main thing is to keep them safe and happy and enjoy being all together at home.

That's all for now - let's see what today brings.
