The new norm

At the home office for 9am: check.
No make up: check.
Sweat pants on: check.

In the midst of terrible, terrible times (and I’m not wishing to trivialise them) there have been moments of joy today. Waking up to sun pouring through the window, being able to have lunch outside, riding my bike (while I’m still allowed), and seeing lots of families in their gardens having fun.

It almost felt normal for a little while.

And then watching the news in the evening and my heart broke again. Just awful to see so many suffering, particularly in Italy and Spain.

Awaiting Boris’ 8.30 briefing and hoping for stricter measures. Tough times ahead.
