the morning in the ward was actually lovely after a nights sleep. the sun was streaming in and it was warm and quiet. I had my cannula out and a really nice chat with lindy the nurse who is also a runner and training for the chicago marathon in aid of charlie house. all of her colleagues were helping with her fundraising. I hope she gets to run it, not sure with everything going on. I also had lots of nice chats with the other patients today - all ladies, all lovely. I have one lady’s number if I’m ever in portsoy and will no doubt bump into another in inverurie one day. hope they’re all well.
I was really shaky heading home - light headed in the lift but the journey home wasn’t too bad. so good to be home, it seems weird but our house looked amazing - the colours! after seeing blue and white for 6 days, I couldn’t stop staring at our house. I felt pretty ropey when I got home but fell asleep on the couch and felt ok after. beefy and peg went shopping to get me some food and pillows and we hunkered down. daisy came back from her sleepover, good to see her wee emo face.
delighted to realise that my steroids are now reduced to once a day - hopefully no more lava-belly. this cheered me no end.
