Thaw

Looks like the snow is on the way out.

Can't believe it's almost the end of January. The year hasn't exactly got off to a brilliant start, with two job interviews and two more rejections. Since January 2010 I've applied for 43 jobs, had 10 interviews and one offer - the job that I have now and have been in since March 2010. I really love it but it simply does not pay enough. If Roland had a regular income things would be so much easier but that's just not happening.

Some good news is that one of our friends will be renting our spare bedroom for a few months, starting in February. She loves cats and is 'looking forward to lots of snuggles'. We did tell her that one of them has the habit of sleeping on top of the wardrobe and hurling himself down onto the bed in the middle of the night, but she wasn't fazed by that. Gawd bless 'er.
