Beauty is all around us.

At One Planet Shop

It has been an enjoyable Saturday and a busy one too.
I was up early to deliver the paper round and astonished by the deep slushy snow that had accumulated on the street and roads after the sudden heavy snowfall last evening and over night. The sun was shining and there was a beautiful blue sky.
The Lancashire Telegraphs had not been delivered to the shop, possibly due to the Lancashire motorways having been closed, so I plodded carefully through the slush with just the national daily papers.
After some tea and breakfast, we went for an hour to visit Oswaldtwistle Mills where I bought in the sales, this cosy bright pink warm- a- scarf.
It has heat pads in the neck and pockets which can be put in the microwave for 60 seconds and then it stays warm for 2 hours. Such a great idea and wonderfully simple, useful design.
The neck warmth is especially nice.
Would be ideal for anyone with pain in their shoulder, neck or collar bone.
Since taking Seven Seas Cod Liver Oil every morning my shoulder ache is completely better.
It worked so fast too.
We had a wonderful time in the snow in the Mill garden and wished we had taken bread for the poor ducks who came running to us across the frozen pond.
We spent a few hours volunteering at One Planet and the pink scarf came in handy for added warmth.
We have just come back from Hurst Green where Maria is having a sleep over with her friends.
Roast vegetables and apple pie and custard for our tea.
