Day 13 RIP Uncle Brian
The usual working from home day today. We went on a longer walk tonight as Kieran works on Thursday nights and they're now closing at 8 instead of 9 so we all have tea together when he gets in.
I haven't walked on this side of the river before so this is Kingsland Bridge from a new perspective. I've managed to keep to my yellow theme a tiny bit too. I looked for something else but all the other things I saw were too boring.
Chris's uncle died today. We're not sure what it was but we think it was just old age or an existing condition as he was nearly 90 and had been ill for a long time.
Deaths were worryingly in the 500s again in the UK today but on a brighter note there was another round of applause for key workers at 8 o'clock. It was for all of them today instead of just NHS staff which was nice. Everyone is working hard and putting themselves at risk by going to work so they should be appreciated. Most supermarkets are now giving their employees a bonus. The Co-OP, where Kieran works, are giving an extra 10% pay, 20 % discount instead of 10% and a voucher for a meal deal each time they work. It's good to see kindness and appreciation coming out of this terrifying pandemic.
