The Hard Way
When the bamboo flooring was installed, the first thing the workers did was to remove the white base moldings. If I'd been thinking clearly, I would have put them on saw horses, and painted them at a comfortable height -- not having to worry about getting paint on the floor or walls. But at that point I hadn't realized how grubby they were, so I'm now spending a lot of time on my knees, masking the floor and painting them in situ.
I have to remind myself to stand up while I still can. My aspirin consumption has increased, and I'm spending a little extra time in the shower.
