Home-made hot cross buns
You can't buy them here except in an M&S store the other side of the city, so I decided to make my own for the first time. It took a couple of days to get all the ingredients and took quite some time to make, but it was fun. They're a bit heavier than the shop bought ones but not a bad substitute.
The weather has turned cool, cloudy and very windy again so I was happy to spend some time in the kitchen.
We Skyped our Evia next door neighbours and had a report on the state of my garden. They were waiting for their sour dough to rise while I was waiting for the hot cross buns to rise so we compared notes! Also we introduced their new kitten Zoi to Saffron. Neither of them were very impressed, needless to say!
