The Evening walk brings...

....Lots of surprises - just around the corner...this little Mallee Ring-neck Parrot (varnardius barnardi) was feeding right in front of us and so I just had to take this one.
Apparently, an inland bird occurring west of the Dividing Range, in Australia, widespread in most types of open country, including the Mallee. Not a particularly conspicuous bird, but it was this evening, quite happy for me to get quite close.
.
Across the Murray river held more beautiful birds sitting on the trapped logs of the river - but that may be another day's blip for you to see..
