Preparation

Far too much of the day was spent on a Council Mobility Plan which of course was built on the Edinburgh Strategic Sustainable Transport Strategy (ESSTS!) from last October. DJ along the road has crafted a submission from our august neighbourhood organisation, but unfortunately he sometimes veers into the undiplomatic, such as: is this a deliberate attempt to mislead the public or just an oversight? And again, the report is fundamentally flawed. 
To be able to tone down the offending comments I really have to read the bladdy thing. And then I find that the actual document that is being consulted on has been considerably updated it since DJ critiqued it. What a work just to end up in some Appendix listed under comments received (i.e. to be ignored). 
What else? Boris has become a father. Again. Facemasks are being recommended sometimes in certain places or something. And later, our customary meet up. A full house again (nine) … but no big John as yet. One of the many downsides of this virtual malarkey is that excludes those that don’t have the latest broadband and computer savviness. It’s all a thoroughly bad thing.
