April Showers

Last chance today for April showers, and they have been around all day. One moment we had bright intense sunshine and the next a really heavy shower. It will be May tomorrow, maybe it will all change!
I went outside while the sun was shining and blipped our rhododendron at its best. After looking unpromising in recent months it has eventually produced about thirty lovely heads of flowers. Nowhere near the usual mass of cover, but very welcome just the same.
Also flowering really well this year has been an oak tree over our drive. It has dropped masses of flowers and Normous had a strenuous sweeping session this morning. If not cleared up they stick to our shoes when wet and tread into the house. If all these flowers produce acorns the squirrels are in for a treat.
