Two heroes

Today is VE Day celebrating the end of WW2 in Europe 75 years ago today.  My blip is of my grandad who faught in two world wars and his son, my uncle who was a mid upper gunner on a Lancaster aeroplane.  Sadly he died when his plane crashed on landing at their base in Lincolnshire after a raid on Germany on 5th November 1944 aged only 22.  My mum never got over it.  This photo is used in one of the family history books that she wrote. Their medals are here in my brother's blip as he has them now.

It is a neighbour's 75th birthday tomorrow so we combined a socially distanced VE street party with his celebration.  Food, music and chat - a lovely get together after all the isolation. (Photo is the extra).
