Coffee!

A few years back, when my sister upgraded to a bean to cup coffee maker, she gave me her old Nespresso Machine. It had reusable pods but they were a fiddle and if you forgot to empty them the mesh would go mouldy and be awful to clean.

As such, it lived on top of the cupboards and was only lifted down occasionally.

Last year I found a London coffee company that sold home compostable coffee pods. The machine was lifted down, given a permanent place in our tiny kitchen and used daily. Yesterday it broke.

I contemplated other less wasteful forms of coffee making but I only drink coffee when it's convenient (or when I'm at work) so I decided to replace it (also I have a huge box of pods left to use).

The replacement came today and it is teeny tiny in comparison, probably half the footprint of the old one!
