Bright yellow

I was struck by these extremely bright yellow flowers in a nearby garden as I passed on my way to buy a birthday present for a friend. No idea what they are, and I couldn't get a reasonable photo of them ( so turned them into a collage) but I rather like them, though they do need a little TLC!
The main event of the day was the cleaner coming, now that were allowed to move around.
The achievement of the day was getting the translation check work finished, despite much agonising over alternative terms!
