River Kent
Today's the day ............................. to quietly flow
Walked to work today along the banks of the River Kent, from which Kendal gets its name. It was actually a very pleasant morning for a walk - not cold and even a bit of sunshine to brighten things up.
The river was very high - no doubt from the huge amount of rain that has fallen in the past few days on the surrounding hills. Sometimes on this stretch when the water level is low, you can see pebble islands with tuffs of grass - but not today.
It was a solid mass of cool dark water flowing quietly by ........................
