White Wall Heart, Rochester

We decided to take our first short trip in the car since lockdown. Just a quick trip over to Rochester for a meandering walk through the quiet streets. I spotted this heart up a side lane and loved how the light and shadows captured the texture on the whitewashed surface.
The extra image is called "Catalpa Tree Castle". It's a shot of Rochester Castle taken through the ancient catalpa tree (also known as an American Indian bean tree) which sits just in front of the cathedral. It's protected by iron railings and now fans out close to the ground as if exhausted by it's own age and weight.
I've now managed to convince my brother about the joys of blip. You can see his images here: https://www.blipfoto.com/Groggster
