Yellow Iris

A few blocks away, on a late afternoon walk.  At midday we had a Zoom conversation with Anne and Charlie (friends in London). Evening was dominated by demonstrations against the murder in Minneapolis four days ago of George Floyd by a policeman who pinned him by the neck against a curb, suffocating him. The protests were nationwide, and very dramatic--very well covered by the 24-hour news channel CNN--one of their reporters and his team were taken briefly into police custody.  At least the blip is peaceful :)
