Promising

There are fruits developing at the allotment; redcurrants, gooseberries, strawberries, figs. The raspberries on the other hand are looking pretty dodgy with canes dying back and berries drying up. Could be a number of reasons, hopefully not a root fungus though or it’ll need a fungicide treatment, but it’s too late to do much about it for now so we can give up on the early crop and I’ll see if I can coax the autumn fruiting canes into some kind of life. I hadn’t intended going up today but had just been hanging about the house all day so took myself out for a walk late on and dropped off a couple of plants in the hut to harden off for a few days. Didn’t ‘dress appropriately’ - it was freezing! So long summer.
