Lilypads and goslings
Good nights sleep, woke up early, windy and rainy...turned over and went back to sleep ;-)
Up and breakfasted before 10......well I did have to wash and blow dry my hair. Ive been using the Elvive purple shampoo, I swear it makes my grey stand out more lol!!
We popped out for a quick walk, got hubs paper, grabbed a couple of shots for todays blip..... couldnt resist sharing this little gosling who was adrift from the rest of his somewhat large family, as seen in extras :-) .....then back home for a coffee in the summerhouse. Really blustery and chilly, but not too bad when the sun is out, Much more pleasant inside the summerhouse though ;-)
Daughter and Emily called at lunchtime, dropped off a card and pressie for someones birthday.....we had a quick catch up. Emily was tired having had a 'virtual sleepover' last night with one of her friends, they use House Party ia their laptops, so it was a late night and a lie in this morning.....but she had comp, eted her school work this morning before coming to see us.
Lunch for hub was roast beef & tomato sandwich.....I had a small tub of leftover pasta and vegetable curry.
Started the second book in my Ken Follet trilogy, this one is 1250 pages.....in paperback, makes my hands ache, its so heavy.... wish Id got in for my Kindle to be honest :-/ Hub read his paper and picked out a few geegees ;-)
We had a potter around the garden mid afternoon. Cleaned the pond a little of its green slimy weed, then deadheaded the big rhoddi's and collected up all the rose petals. Hub tended his strawberries, did some watering and watched some horse racing ;-)
Dinner tonight was pan fried cod, peas, sweetcorn, tomatoes, and home made sweet potato fries......really nice! I have got to get my head in gear, committed to lose 2lbs this week :-0
Just watched A Question of Sport, then on to the New Zealamd Kiwi Railway trip on North Island, then Gogglebox......whilst sipping a G & T if you dont mind :-)
Have a good & safe weekend folks
