Grilled Lamb

Grilled lamb sirloin with Welsh smoked salt and a drizzle of lavender infused olive oil; grilled corn; and bok choy slaw with cumin, black lime, and urfa chili. Wine: Andrew Murray Étranger 2017.

This was a spectacular dinner, and the best use of the new grill so far (ok, so it’s only the second for those keeping track). This is a great wine—a GSM plus Petite Sirah (the latter, a Bordeaux grape, being the “étranger” in the Rhône blend). We really love the character of rhone-style wines from the Santa Ynez valley (Santa Barbara county), and Andrew Murray is our favorite winery from the area.
