The Three Amigos

Lockdown Day 76

We headed to Friston Forest this morning for a forest walk for a change, and we parked Bertie in a nice quiet corner as we'd got a picnic lunch planned, so fancied a woodland view rather than looking at another car. Before we went into the forest I wanted to use my wide angle lens to get a photo of Cuckmere River from a high up point so we  walked there first   I did plan to blip that, but it was very cloudy so I'll save it for another day and will go back on a sunny day with blue skies.

We then set off into the forest, but took a slight detour to look at the White Horse in the hillside (see my extras), and we came across a field of what I think are Jersey Cows.  There were lots of calves and these three were very curious about us.  We headed back into the forest and came across the village of West Dean which was very pretty, then continued back into the forest and back to the car park.  It was too cold to eat lunch outside, but that's the advantage of Bertie.

We were very lucky with the weather and just as we set off for home, the rain came.  I spent the afternoon cleaning the house and now I'm going to make fajitas for dinner.

Hope you're having a good weekend!
