The momma flycatcher

I really was lucky today that I had stepped outside and the crested flycatcher mom came out of the bird house and sat on the roof.  I was really lucky because I had the camera to take a photo of something else!   Which was going to be my blip but it can wait until tomorrow.

Then she flew to the wire and WOW..the male flew right to her so I got both birds in one shot.  It is in the extras!    I was afraid to move so I could not get a closer shot.     

A good day for seeing birds.   While the mom and dad were gone I got a chair to stand on and stuck my phone in the bird house entry but I did not see anything.  The eggs may be down in the bottom and have not hatched yet.   I will keep checking the box when I see the mom came out.  

Another exciting happening is I saw a fox in the backyard at the edge of the woods.   I have not seen a fox around here in several years...since they cut all the trees across the road about four years ago.  Hoping it will hang around even though my dog was not happy.
