Chives. Not just for eating.

These are tucked around the corner in the garden in a place where I don’t often see them. So today when I went out to add some more seed to the bird feeder, these were waiting for me.

I think they are chives so we eat them. But boy are they pretty too.

I enjoy the purple against the green.

Which is good because our lilac bush doesn’t seem to be starting this year. That’s really disappointing, and strange.

Anyway, for today with green and purple, at least I’ve got my chives.
