Ebony and Ivory

Seems apt to rename these two given the current situation and demonstrations over George Floyd. Ivory got the avocado first but Ebony decided she also liked the taste! 
Well the electrician never turned up! Not really a surprise - I remember the Builder saying how they are a law unto themselves! However signs of the Lockdown easing was illustrated by the fact that I was contacted by my Builder, chimney sweep, window cleaner and the builder who is going to give my back yard a makeover!  The window cleaner is coming monday and the builder tuesday! He has made one cabinet door out of cedar - he thinks it will complement the wooden work surfaces. I was a little dismayed as when he left he said he would be working on the doors and shelving! I was expecting him to return and just whizz them in place - ah well!
It was decidedly chilly today and I was pleased I'd taken my wooly hat to the field to exercise Oscar! My activity of yesterday continued with the making of Rhubarb and strawberry jam and a rhubarb tart - minus the pastry! Just the lovely set custard with creme fraiche, double cream, sugar and egg yolks!
