Following the evidence

This could be a metaphor. And it does negate yesterdays blip, those tiles almost certainly did not come from the baths, nevertheless I was pleased to see them glittering in the wasteland. It calls to mind the number of times in the workplace where a hunch/hypothesis was easily turned into policy by looking for the evidence on a highly selective basis. The idea of even 'blending' (Matt H) the evidence was In reality not what happened .
All this led me today to find the remaining wall of the Pollokshaws Baths and  Steamie, demolished in 2010 and replaced with the grey coloured flats in Ashton Road, just behind the library.
My hunch is the upper half of the wall is the remains of the swimming pool (converted in the 1980s) and the lower half is the remains of the original Steamie wall.
I told M and C about this and in return heard about an ancient mangle with family connections hidden in the undergrowth near to the gardeners outhouse in Pollok Park. A task/purpose for another day.
