Roses

I was never a particular fan of roses. Too complicated, disease prone, short lived etc. However a couple of years ago we planted some climbing roses. OH built the obilisk and we planted Iceberg. I have fed and watered and sprayed and been rewarded by the best display ever! I am now a convert and the first retirement job will be to design and plant a rose garden. I’ve got it planned in my head with a rustic trellis and under planted with lavender. Beautifully scented roses, all summer long.

I’ve just got to wait a few years longer!
