Imberhorne Farm Siding

If you follow this link to the Scottish Library copy of the 1938 OS map, locate Imberhorne Farm which is towards the bottom RH corner. Find the railway line below it and then to the left you'll spot the siding.

This picture shows the two gate posts which mark the boundary between the railway and the siding.

The siding remained in use almost to the end of the line which closed in 1966. The farmer (Mr Emmett) used to annoy BR by ordering a couple of wagon loads of shale from one of the Kent pits each spring!
