In the river

We took Al, our farm Border Collie, down the river late this afternoon, as it was so hot - and with all that hair, we thought he would appreciate a dip to cool him down.

Farmerboy threw a stick into the river and Al went after it, bringing it back just about every time. The boys went for a swim in the river also, although when we got home, they immediately jumped into our swimming pool. The sand down by the river was so hot, it was hard to stay still for any period of time - it could have easily burnt the soles of your feet if you stood for a while.

It is 33.5 degrees C outside - just unbearable - thank goodness for the air conditioning in the house. We have a heavy rain warning issued for our area tonight/tomorrow, so hopefully the rain will arrive and cool everything down.
