100th day of lockdown
Day 100 since our lockdown! So I’ve made 100 posts on Facebook of my blue plaque travels and the majority as blips too. From 19 March until today I have cycled most days ... on at least 85 days covering over 1200 miles, and in total have found and photographed over 100 blue plaques , starting off with official ones from LCC, GLC and English Heritage within local London Boroughs and then discovering that various local residents associations have put up their own. I took up the #25Challenge for our local Landmark Arts Centre on 25May and have completed this now, raising over £500 in sponsorship.
So the 100th day plaque is Eadweard Muybridge(1830-1904) who was born in Kingston. He was a pioneer photographer in studies of motion in an era before moving pictures/films. Although he spent much of his life in America he returned to Kingston and there is a collection of his works and an exhibition in Kingston Museum.
- cycled to Kingston and Ham
- repotted a few plants
