As you like it!

I popped in to an art Exhibition today and this was one of the exhibits. Quite large,  nearly 2m tall and for sale for £1200.
Acrylic on canvas with a wooden frame.
 
The note alongside explains the title…..a triptych with 9 multiple choice panels, each panel can be positioned in any field of the frame. This will result in a huge number of possible combinations. Hence ‘ As you like it’ .
I’m sure I should be able to work out how many combinations but they are not square so only one way up…or could they go upside down too?
