Art Appreciation....
I had just set it all up to start painting when Bella came and sat next to me and sniffed the pad and paintbrushes.
She's always so interested in what we're doing.
I'm better at drawing than painting and I've often ruined a good sketch by painting it. However, I wanted to try these water mixable oil paints I bought ages ago - it says 'for beginners'. I quite like them and made a start on the background this evening.
I have this funny thing going on just now - when I'm sorting and cutting my fabrics I get the urge to draw and paint and when I'm drawing or painting my mind is on the fabrics I still have in the cupboard and what I could make with them; inbetween those things I'm thinking of songs to learn on the uke. Maybe I'm just trying to catch up on all that time I wasted being stressed out during lockdown.
Sometimes I wish I had one thing I was exceptionally good at and could just do that instead of flitting from one thing to another. Jack of all trades - master of none, that's me!
It has rained all day and the strong wind has been battering the plants in the garden.
More and more birds are coming to the posh bird table.
At one point there were 4 collared doves, 3 starlings, 2 blackbirds...and a partridge in a pear tree...Ooooh I got carried away there! I meant a few sparrows!
It was my turn to cook so it was salad :-D)))
Bed and book time now.
Goodnight all ;-) x
