Scarce Swallowtail

A comparatively rare visitor in our part of Switzerland and one of the biggest butterflies. Late afternoon saw Preston trying to reach the couple of breeding Great Banded Graylings (in extra) from the window sill one story up! Panic! We are terrified he will fall one of these days, as he sneaks out onto the balcony like a ghost.

I did do a little walk from the télécabine today, so good to get up in the mountain air. Huge storms this afternoon which is a shame as now the air is very damp, the skies are grey and we have a visitor arriving in half an hour.
