Great day!
Quite cool when I set off for a walk on this moorland area, but the sun came out and the wildlife was excellent. I was surprised firstly by the four Red Throated Divers on the wee lochan. they are the two adults and two youngsters who had nested on a nearby lochan. There were Snipe, Golden Plovers, Stonechats, and butterflies such as Common Blue and Small Heath. Found a Meadow Pipit with a Tortoiseshell butterfly in its beak.
A lovely day!
