Loch Venachar

Our first day out since lockdown! I am almost certain the hill is Ben Venue, in case its not I have not used this as the caption. I do know for certain that we had a picnic lunch on the shores of Loch Venachar. I had intended to spend most of the day around the shores of the Lake of Monteith however the car parks were not open and it was tricky to see how e could access the shore without encroaching on private property. There was a strong breeze most of the day with intermittent sunshine, a good day for hiking had that been on the agenda. That said I noticed the car park for Ben Aan was open and was extremely busy, if I decided to that walk I will need to get there very early.
Lovely surprise massage from BS in the evening, thirty years goes so fast and it is most certainly later than you think.
