A different heron
It is almost routine to see a large heron (I think he/she is the same one) on the White Cart Water, always skittish about any approaching footsteps. This heron in todays blip is most certainly a different one, smaller and less alert. He/she was paddling about in the Pollok Pool which is a first, and let me get quite close to get a decent shot through the trees. It was a good end to another rainy day. It is also quite chilly and for the last two mornings the heating has come on which it hasn't done since the end of April.
Delighted with OS app I have just downloaded - excellent value and as good as a story book and with Gaelic related opportunities as well. The second blip is an experiment about how I can transfer the map I need to another device, if required. I do not want to pay for an android version.
Seems to have worked the extra blip is an enlarged section which includes The Whangie.
