‘Super Saturday’

The middle of three days off for Mrs S and we had already decided to go out for the day, whatever the weather.
The destination of choice was Porthluney Beach on the Roseland but with a stop off before and after. Over the King Harry ferry and then to St Just In Roseland for coffee and cake at Miss V’s, chosen because it is highly recommended and it exceeded expectations.
Miss V’s is across the road from St Just parish church and we took the opportunity to look around the churchyard. Very peaceful, very tranquil and the little books and crannies very atmospheric.
Then it was on to Porthluney for some fresh sea air and a picnic.
A couple of hours and we set off for Mevagissey, strangely quiet, some tourists but almost deserted. We walked out on the arm to the outer harbour to enjoy the view, had another coffee and made our way home.

A delicious Thai monkfish curry to round off the day.
