A nice day over here

This was one of only three similar blips I took today. Kind of pathetic, I know.

After a morning in the office I took Lauralea to town for a break. We went out to lunch, a simple affair at Wendy’s. (I know, big spender!) But then we visited a new shop that is trying to open amidst these tough days. We went in just to look but ended up supporting the poor guy by purchasing some kitchenware.

Then we hit the Giant Tiger store to pick up a few things where we discovered a brand of salad dressing that used Canola oil and not the usual soy oil. This pleased Herself to no end as she has trouble with soy in foods and she misses some of the simple things.

Then we ended up at a furniture store. We’ve been saving a bit to purchase a new tv and the options are absolutely mind numbing. How to compare models and price and value. So we took a lesson from the owner which was quite helpful.

While I was talking HD and OLD and UHD with the proprietor, Lauralea walked around looking which turned out to be dangerous. She found an affordable chair that fits her short frame. She always has to sit with a pillow behind her because her legs are short, so furniture that doesn’t cause her feet to fall asleep is like gold.

Cut to the chase, she smiled and it was hers, to be delivered on Thursday. We’ll wait a little longer on the TV.

And that was the day around here. A lovely and needed day all around.
