The hunter stalks

And did so for almost a half hour (at least). This photo was taken at the start of my walk on the edge of Cox's Creek, and it was still there and successfully spearing food as I returned.

I also achieved a good portrait of a kotare (kingfisher), as well as another photo of a rosella. The extra for today is the first photo I've managed of a yellowhammer for some years. The female has her head up, and the male is busy eating.
